Injury
in the Tour de France
(Introduction)
Cycling carries health risks.
There are both traumatic (sudden) and overuse
(generally, over a period of time) risks of injury. There are medical risks,

(overheating).
In this article I’ll review traumatic
injuries in the 2002 Tour de France and give estimates of disabling-traumatic
injury rates and death rates.
