Overuse Sports Injuries (Introduction)

Too much, too soon. Overuse injuries occur over a period of time when forces applied to a structure are increased faster than the structure can adapt, or exceed its limits of adaptation. This handout will discuss how to generally prevent and approach the treatment of overuse problems.

Traumatic, or sudden injuries such as cuts and scrapes, or falls, are not discussed in this handout.
